SOLDERLESS BREADBOARDS,
OPEN-CIRCUITS AND SHORT-CIRCUITS (week 1)

Overview:
The purpose of this lab is to analyze connections between different holes on breadboard.

1. Measure the resistance between two holes of the same row.
Example of a short - circuit

Resistance measured was nearly 0

2. Measure the resistance across two nodes on opposite sides of the center channel
Example of an open - circuit

Here we see that the resistance reaches infinity
3. When measuring the resistance across two nodes that were not on the same row AND on opposite sides of the center channel, we obtain the same results as part 2. The resistance is nearing infinity.

4. However, when we connect these two points with a jumper wire across the channel, like the image below, we obtain a short circuit.

1. R = 0; Short-circuit
2. R = INF; Open-circuit
3. R = INF; Open-circuit
4. R = 0; Short-circuit
